For those of you who attend the Day4Women online conference this December 8th, we have a special free gift for you – the Day4Women Soundtrack. It is a collaboration album with a group of female talented singers/songwriters who came together through Soundcloud. The goal of the album was to tell the story of women and the different challenges they have faced, including domestic and sexual abuse. The hope is that people will download the album and share it with others to inspire them to take action to stop and prevent these things from happening, to raise awareness and share what these things look like up close and personal, and also to encourage women out there going through the same things to continue on with renewed strength. The album can be found at the Day4Women site and is free!
Many of the women involved in the project have, themselves, been victims of abuse. Others joined the project because they want to encourage women to believe in their abilities and love themselves and they understand that music can be a powerful to help create change. This month, Day4Women will be introducing all of the women involved in the album. Hear from three of them today about who they are and why they decided to be a part of the Day4Women Soundtrack.
